Dear reader,
I am back! :) The tansfer before we had a really tight knit family unit.
Two days before my birthday we had an amazing party! There were some friends from both wards, and all eight missionaries of course. Elder Flynn (aka big brother prophet, as we call him...) was the boss and leader of the party. His lovely British accent made it really fun too. I have never ever had such a good and wonderful, amazing party! When it was time to go home, I concluded that I had never been so happy in my entire life. The party was SO nice! I think I told about it already but it doesn't hurt remembering the great party.
Then we got the transfer calls. I correctly predicted who was leaving and that Elder Flynn went to Jyväskylä... If I would plan a "perfect" set of cities and towns a missionary could serve in it would be:
Jakobstad, Tammerfors, Jyväskylä and Åbo. As a bonus maybe Uleåborg and Vasa.
I am currrently in Jakobstad, my hometown. My parents live here, and many relatives. We have sisters here now... It's so great! I love the sisters. When sister "Minecraft" as we nicknamed her, was leaving Finland, I was visiting Jakobstad and I cried buckets despite ever seen her a few times. Those missionary transfers and flights home make me often very emotional.
People have asked me why I love the missionaries.
It's a kind of stupid question, at least if you know ANYTHING about me hahhah! :D
I have been friends with the missionaries since early childhood and I just never stopped! My family has always invited the missionaries for visits. My dad has lived in Australia, England and the USA for example. Our family is very international! We speak fluently three languages and a few more. We have traveled a lot. I know that most members in Finland are friends with the missionaries and I have taken that to "the next level", I guess. Being a bonus mom to those who want to be part of this family of friends, just a good friend and supporting the missionaries make me happy. :)
Last transfer was epic in the sense that we all really were like a family. One sister wrote a lovely letter for me for my birthday. She said "thank you for making a group of missionaries feel like family". That's the first time anyone has said that. <3 I have been in a kind of loop with the missionaries because I want to repay the kindness and love they have always shown me.
Yesterday I watched on TV an amazing movie: The mission.
