Boss/Mom and her excellent children :)

 Good afternoon!

This post is about two things:

1. How awesome missionaries are

2. How I am always on their side come what may

SO. There has been a little break from last week's Tuesday until this week's Tuesday when I couldn't go to church or the activities at church. I had the flu... :( A little remnants still but almost okay now. I went to Game night this week on Tuesday. It was good. I spent a lot of time talking with one of the sisters and we played the piano for each other.. Then I also got a blessing because my anxiety has been acting up again. I must say, our elder Heaton is like a big brother, even to me! :) So wise and je ne sais quoi. Just a really good person. I am so grateful for all my bonus children.

I do not really remember if I told you in this blog that I am saving up money to go to Utah next year with my mom :) I have never been there. We have two relatives and their families living in Salt Lake City... I have like a billion children in Utah lol. Not a billion, but a lot... I am planning to have a Boss Mom Santonen reunion there somewhere. It will be so fun! Bring the tissues! I mean I will be so happy to see all my children after a long time. From the oldest to the youngest :) <3 My mom will be happy too.

I have never been to Utah, it's about time...

Also, I llove my children and if you mess with them, you mess with me... If someone is rude, angry or something at my kids I go into high alert and am ready to face off the opposition lollers. No. Really. I have my stupid voice problem but I can sometimes talk when I am really upset or happy. I can also give them THE EYE: :D Like somekind of lazer eye look that will bore into their souls... :D lollers. Yup. You mess with my children, you mess with me!

And so we come to the question I was asked last week...

"WHY DO YOU LOVE THE MISSIONARIES?"

First of all: don't you love them?!? Second of all: "Thou shalt love thy neighbor"... and all that, you know. I am happy that someone asked! Many people in church and even in other places laugh at my friendship with the missionaries.. They see me sitting next to a missionary at church and giggle, chuckle whatever. I give them the stinky eye: HOW DARE YOU? :D

There. You see that sign? It's a reservation note :) Each Sunday arriving at church people always always always for some reason try to sit next to me. Well. I am a "nepotist" :D I can't just not sit next to one or more of my children... I am like NOPE, this place is for the children/child. Also one thing that is a little bizarre... I use more English each day than any of my two native languages. I write in English, I think in English, I listen to music, audiobooks and read in English. Then my booktube and dolltube videos are all in English that I watch (without subtitles). Yesterday I went to the doctor and she spoke also good English ( she is not Finnish) and so I asked if we can use English so I took care of my business in English. It was great. My voice works a litlle ittty bitty teeny tiny bit better in English...

English is my happy language, my work language, the language of my heart, if you will. I have been obsessed with it since I first started studying at age nine in third grade. It just clicked! :) Also, I knew a little English before school because you know... TV :D

Oh how I love this language <3...

OK: Back to missionaries...

We have a missionary from Finland here now! He is so great. Funny, smart and emotionally intelligent (whatecver that actually means lol). We are of the same mentality, for example we are not so afraid to be honsst about difficult things etc. He rocks! I think also we are distant distant distant relatives through his mother and my mother :D

Woah, this is an exceptionally looong post, sorry! I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, I don't think I answered the question:

"WHY DO YOU LOVE THE MISSIONARIES?"

Answer: I just do. They have always been there for me, from the first English class I attended as a teenager until this bonus child setup. My friends have let me down. They have bullied me because of my weight, my swedish speaking heritage, and also have not always been there. Sometimes their lives get so busy that they can't help me. The missionaries are my best friends. However the people around me change and go away or come again, there are always at least two guys with white shirts, ties and a nametage who can at least talk to me and be nice to me for a moment. An example: Last fall I was at the hospital far away and after I came back I cried a lot at church. Who do ya think was hugging me at church and asking if they can help? THE SISTERS (missionary sisters). Members in my ward just walked past and pretended I do not exsist and just said: Do not worry. I mean... I am probably living in the wrong place because often people do not show their emotions at all. I am very much a "wear my heart on my sleeve" kinda girl :D

And then there is the epic period in my life when I was 17 and had to be in the mental hospital for eight monthsa after my mini mission. The missionaries visited me every week. I will always remember those angels.

More later! :)

Good times in the last few months

Dear Reader, This past year the missionaries have been really nice and wonderful. A lot of them have gone home and I miss them. The sisters and me have been having a lot of fun, and the elders too of course. :) My dad passed away in November and elder Wood and Smith were in Jakobstad then. Now they are both home. Time flies and the mission always has to end :( But I am happy and hopeful they will come visit Finland again after a while. :) We have had a really wonderful time and I am so grateful for my friends. More later!

Jakobstad and the end

Good evening!  Last month I went to Jakobstad to visit my mom and family. I didn't need to teach anyone Swedish anymore, elder Petersson from Sweden is there now. My good old friend elder Schelin is spending his last transfer of his mission in Jakobstad. It is wonderful that he could go back there! He has been a good missionary and I am so proud to know him. I wish him all the best. That's all folks!

Fun days with the missionaries!

Some pictures from the former transfer, and from this new one! Good morning from the Finland Helsinki Mission! (Tampere Zone, Tampere first and second wards) The last group of missionaries, before the recent transfer, was nice but I spent a lot of time in Jakobstad and the missionaries were here of course! :) My laptop is a little messed up, so I will continue later!
